PHOTOS: Going Green in Port Jefferson at 5th Annual Festival

People flocked to the Port Jefferson Village Center on Saturday to go green.

The 5th Annual Go Green Festival was held in Port Jefferson Village Center on Saturday with the theme of "Youth is Building a Greener Future," co-sponsored by the Port Jefferson Go Green and the Humanities Institute at Stony Brook University.

A popular stop was the "Green Elephant Table" where people came and exchanged new of gently used items are for free. Over 1,000 items changed hands on Saturday, according to event organizer Nomi Solo.

The Port Jefferson Elementary School chorus under the direction of music teacher Jessica Pastor performed music for visitors to the fair.
