Port Jeff Students Got Into The Holiday Spirit

Students district-wide participated in the 18th Annual Dickens Festival by singing songs and performing music live for attendees.

The Port Jefferson School District participated in this years Dickens Festival all weekend taking shifts between the elementary, middle school, and high school students.

The elementary school select choir, middle school seventh- and eighth-grade string orchestra and high school chamber choir, orchestra and holiday jazz trio filled the First Presbyterian Church on Main Street at the beginning of the festival.

Together they sang holiday songs and got attendees into the Christmas spirit.
On Dec. 7, members of the middle school drama club, led by club president Cole Fortier and co-advisers Mary LaSita and Loraine Serabian, performed select songs from the musical “Oliver,” based on the Charles Dickens novel “Oliver Twist.”

The festival took place from Dec 6. to Dec. 8 and was a huge success in the village. Check out the photos of all of the students performing above.
