Video: Meet Alexandra Gordon

Alexandra Gordon is a candidate for one of the two open seats on the Comsewogue school board this year.

Alexandra Gordon is one of the six candidates running for two open seats on the Comsewogue school board this year. At the meet the candidates night on Tuesday, April 26 each of the candidates was able to introduce themselves to the public and answer questions posed by the audience. In the order that the candidates were introduced we will present videos of each candidate answering one question and introducing themselves.

Gordon is the PTA president and this year she says she spent hours working on committees for the school board. She has lived in the district for 12 years and has four children in the district, two girls are at the high school, and a son and daughter at Terryville Elementary School.

“As difficult as this year was the next few years are not going to get any better,” she said referring to the economy.

She also thinks Albany is broken and she highlighted that unfunded mandates are a big pain point for school districts. Gordon also blogs about her campaign.
