Spiritual Seminar, Whiskey Tasting This Week

Here's a look at what's happening in Port Jefferson this week.

- AARP Defensive Driving: This class is sponsored by AARP and participants must complete both classes to qualify for the 10% reduction on their automobile liability and collision insurance. A non-refundable fee of $17.00 for AARP members and a $19.00 fee for non-members are due upon registration.

How wonderful if every one of us could meet and connect deeply with an authentic spiritual guide ... a teacher who can lead us, directly and personally, step by step, into the deep joy and peace to be found within our own hearts. How do we find and maintain this most beautiful relationship?

In this series we will find the answer through exploring the teachings and meditations in Modern Buddhism, by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso with Mike Opisso beginning Nov. 19 at 7pm at 301D East Main Street, Port Jefferson.

- Single Malt Whisky Tasting: Join us at Mora's with special guest, Chris Riesbeck, National Brand Ambassador for Gordon & MacPhail, Scotland's oldest independent bottler & rare whisky specialists. Chris will be pouring 6 selections, and educating from 4-7pm at Mora’s Fine Wines & Spirits. 

- Complimentary Wine Tasting With Vintner & Hors D'oeuvres: Come join us for a complimentary tasting of wines as well as meet the vintner of Blend who will be signing bottles. Hors D'oeuvres will be served at Vine 2 Wine on Nov. 22 at 6:30 p.m.
