Don't Miss: Port Jefferson American Music Festival

The museum may not be coming to town, but that won't stop the music in Port Jeff.

Two days, four stages and 35 bands will converge on Port Jeff Village Sat. and Sun. for the 8th Annual American Music Festival.

Performances include music by  Kerry Kearney & Special Guests – "Kerry Ferry" Blues & Brews Cruise –11pm, PJ Ferry, Captain Squeeze & The Zydeco Moshers – 8pm, Ferry Dock Stage (Free), Como Brothers Band, Denise Givens and more.

Port Jeff's own teen rock band HayWire  will debut its original music this weekend as well. The band has been performing professionally since 2011 at local music clubs, including Lulu's Village Pub and Port Jazz, and community events including the Port Jefferson Harvest Festival. The band mates all attend Earl L. Vandermeulen High School.

There will also be a kid zone and a kid stage. Expect some diverse music of blues, rock and folk. And did we mention a little brew? Beer is on tap thanks to Port Jeff Brewery.
