Hess Express Opens at Old Texaco Site

The blight that was the old Texaco Station at the corner of Washington Avenue and Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station is no more, and in it's place is a brand new Hess Express. 

Clinton Avenue Playground Wishes Fulfilled

When the Comsewogue elementary schools underwent a re-organization this school year, it was quickly discovered at Clinton Avenue Elementary that there wasn't enough age-appropriate playground equipment to meet the students' needs after becoming a K-2 school only. 

Recently, the East Setauket Walmart store was able to fulfill the school's need for a new piece of playground equipment by providing a $5,500 grant.

In a corner restaurant that has seen tremendous turnover of tenants in recent years, the afternoon snack crowd, evening dessert rush, and heavy weekend traffic are exactly the signs of life Ivan and Kim Albert are looking for in their new eatery, Sweet n’ Savory.

Located in Chandler Square on the corner of Main Street and West Broadway, Sweet n’ Savory opened shortly after Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

New Deli Opens in Port Jefferson

Two families who are longtime friends have come together in a new way: They have opened a new deli, Corner Copia Café, in Port Jefferson.

Located at 109 West Broadway, the Caffrey family of Medford and the Mullins family of Miller Place opened their new deli on May 11.

Village Parks Renamed for Port Jefferson Public Officials

Harborfront Park has now been officially renamed as "Mayor Jeanne Garant Harborfront Park" and the Caroline Avenue baseball field has now been officially renamed "Joe Erland Field," according to a report published Thursday in The Port Times Record.
